LE DOS, LE REGARD, ET « LA PEAU »

[1] Ce texte est issu d’une communication au 3e Congrès mondial de Psychiatrie du nourrisson et disciplines alliées, Stockholm, 3-7 août 1986, sous le titre « Réflexions sur quelques jonctions psycho-toniques et psychomotrices dans la première année de la vie », et publié dans la Neuropsychiatrie de l’enfance, 1988, 36 (1), 1-8. Il est reproduit ici presque intégralement, avec seulement quelques perfectionnements de forme et le renvoi bibliographique à quelques articles ultérieurs, l’exploitation de ces observations, pour moi princeps étant loin d’être épuisée ; une grande partie de l’observation de Bruno est notamment reprise dans une réflexion récente (Haag G., 2006). Je précise que le terme  « peau » est utilisé ici dans le sens d’E. Bick et D. Anzieu : vécu d’enveloppe, de contenance, en même temps que d’unité profonde sous tendant l’état de bien-être du sentiment d’identité, consacré dans l’expression populaire « être bien, ou mal, dans sa peau ». Une traduction anglaise sous le titre « Some Reflections on Body Ego Development through Psychotherapeutic Work with an Infant » a été publiée en 1991 en tant que chapitre in Extendinc Horizons, Karnac Books, London, et est disponible sur le présent site.

 
RESUMÉ : A partir de l’observation des nourrissons (méthode E. Bick) et du traitement d’enfants de moins de deux ans ayant des symptômes psycho-moteurs sans troubles neurologiques, cet article essaie de cerner ce qui sous-tend certaines hypertonies psychogènes et inhibitions motrices dans le jeu des interrelations précoces, des identifications primaires intracorporelles et de la genèse des objets primaires. Les articulations de cette vie psychique précoce avec le développement psychomoteur, la formation de l’image du corps, et l’investissement de l’espace sont ainsi abordés. Un travail précédent, « La Mère et le Bébé dans les deux moitiés du corps » est repris dans son articulation avec un aspect plus primitif des intégrations développé ici : importance particulière des sensations du contact-dos dans sa liaison avec les éléments d’interpénétration bouche-mamelon et des regards, constituants notables de « la peau ». Une jonction est faite avec les travaux de J. Grotstein sur « la Présence d’arrière-plan d’identification primaire« , de D. Anzieu sur le Moi-peau et de Cl. Athanassiou sur les identifications précoces et les liens de symétrie et d’asymétrie. ABSTRACT : The back, the Gaze and « the Skin ». The author shares reflections on some psycho-tonic and psycho-motor junctions in the first years of life. From naturalistic infant observations (E. Bick method) and psychoanalytical treatment of children under two years of age with psycho-motor symptoms without neurological disorders, this paper attempts to determine what underlies certain psychogenic hyper-tonicities and motor inhibitions through early interrelations, primary identifications and genesis of the primary objects. The articulations of this early psychic life with psycho-motor development, structuring of the body image and investment of space, are thus dealt with. A previous work, “The Mother and the Two Halves of the Body”, is referred to in its articulations with a more primitive step of the integrations developed here: particular importance of the “back-contact” sensations linked as they are with the elements of interpenetration of mouth-nipple and gaze, a significant constituting part of the “container-skin”. Links are established with the works of J. Grotstein on “The Background Presence of Primary Identification”, D. Anzieu on the Ego skin, and Cl.
